  • New paint accomplished 10/10/12 by Hawk Aircraft Painting. Stripped, etched, alodined and painted. Overall Matterhorn White with Velvet Black, Columbus Gray, and Ice Silver Accents.

Condition

Damage History: 

  • Yes - 02/26/16 – Aircraft attempted landing on Runway 30 at DFI in Defiance, Ohio. Landing gear would not extend using normal procedures. The pilot attempted the emergency procedure with no success. The aircraft departed the pattern and climbed to an altitude of approximately 3,000 ft. and attempted to troubleshoot the landing gear system with no success. It then returned to DFI, entered the pattern, and completed a "gear-up" landing on Runway 30. There were no injuries to the occupants.
  • 04/17/88 – Aircraft involved in accident by overshooting landing roll. Prop tip damaged, Removed and repaired prop and engine.

Maintenance: 

  • 02/03/25 – Installed new Concorde Battery. 
  • 03/22/24 – Annual Inspection Accomplished. 
  • 10/02/21 – Removed and repaired Cylinders $1, #2, #3, #5, and #6. New exhaust and intake gaskets, new rocker arm retainer on #3, #6. 
  • 09/23/21 – Installed new intake and exhaust valves. 
  • 08/12/20 – Installed new Tempest Vacuum Pomp. 
  • 06/01/20 – Repaired fuel leak @RH wing inbound using FlameMaster CS3204B1/2 Kit Fuel Tank Sealant. Stop drilled crack and installed 2 rivets on RH heater shroud. Replaced all 6 boss rings on fuel selector. Replaced needle bearing and bushing in RH inner gear door bellcrank. Replaced wing sight gauge float mechanism w/new. Replaced wing fuel sight gauge on R/H wing. Replaced factory CHT probe w/new. Upgraded GNS 430 to GNS 430W and changed antenna. 
  • 07/31/18 – Replaced 4-Static wicks.
